As Air France-KLM has said it would bring forward restructuring plans to stem losses quicker, CAPA has written an excellent SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & threats) analysis on the airline group. Among the weaknesses are pilots, which are “too strong”, and balance sheet constraints, while its strengths include its hubs, network and brands. The piece recommends more partnerships, perhaps with Etihad, or Chinese airlines.
