IATA’s recent media day, and director general Tony Tyler’s quotability have put aviation under the spotlight this week. (As has the industry’s increasing consolidation – the tie-up between Delta and Virgin, and IAG and Vueling to name but two – and that’s without even mentioning Etihad and India.)
