There’s an good article in Cargo Forwarder today – an interview with normally elusive Volga Dnepr. In it Oleg Demidov, responsible for external relations for the airline, but previously deputy director of state policy in the Russian civil aviation department, reveals some of the detail behind the difficult relations between Germany and Russia, and how it led to a ban on Lufthansa Cargo using Siberian air space, as well as the problems that left AeroLogic. He leads, however, with the news that AirBridgeCargo has obtained fifth freedom rights between Shanghai and the US. All interesting stuff.
