Extrapolating data about the number of shipments Hapag-Lloyd sold through its Quick Quotes system in 2018, the liner shipping industry’s very own polymath, Lars Jensen, has used this LinkedIn post to forecast that some 30m teu will have been booked through online portals in five years’ time.
