Vincent Bolloré, one of France’s richest men, is under investigation for possible bribery of officials in Africa, which could have led to Bolloré Africa Logistics winning the Guinean port operation contract. Bolloré runs Africa’s largest port operator and has concessions to operate container terminals in 15 countries. The investigations stem over whether advertising agency Hamas, a Bolloré subsidiary, offered discounted services to politicians in exchange for port contracts. Bolloré Group has denied wrongdoing.
