Alibaba is boosting its food sales business with new refrigerated distribution centres. The e-tailer’s logistics arms has opened centres in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou to help it meet growing demand for online food sales. Operated by Cainiao, in which Alibaba has a 48% stake, the DCs will help expand Alibaba’s 24-hour delivery services to 50 new cities by the end of this year.
