HACTL - Frosti Lau

Hong Kong handler Hactl has appointed Frosti Lau as its new chief executive, from early June.

The appointment comes some four months after the departure of Wilson Kwong, who had spent eight years at the helm, during which time Michelle Choi acted as interim CEO.

Ms Choi said: “We’re delighted to welcome Frosti to Hactl, where he will be able to build on the company’s long track record of success.”

Mr Lau boasts a quarter of a century of experience in aviation and air cargo, and joins Hactl from fellow Cathay Pacific, where he is regional general manager for South-east Asia & Oceania.

Alongside his 20 years at the Hong Kong flag-carrier, Mr Lau also served on the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council as its logistics services advisory committee member, as well as seven years as a board member of Cargo iQ.

Meanwhile, Mr Kwong has joined rail operator MTR, a move that was big news. The ground handler seemingly having thrived under his leadership.
