Well, so maybe the Chinese government is keeping the economic figures to itself, but luckily, parts of the free-er press are working it out for themselves. Here, the Wall Street Journal looks at various indicators in order to paint a picture of the Chinese economy and its export and import market, which is probably as good an analysis as you’ll get anywhere, especially from within China itself.
