The high-tech electronics industry is in something of a bind at the moment. Sales are predicated on the latest technology; and the latest technology is superseding older technology in increasingly faster cycles, meaning there are very large amounts of redundant goods – what to do with it all? Implementing a reverse logistics cycle to upgrade and resell unsold goods could become a crucial revenue stream for both producers and their 3PLs.
