As the dust settles folowing P&O Ferries’ grilling at the hands of UK MP’s the Maritime Coastguard Agency brought some reality to the UK ferry industry when the European Causeway, a ferry that operates on the Cairnryan to Larne route was impounded. Crews were apparently were not properly trained, a mantra that the unions had been applying since the news of the 800 sackings was announced.
