Delays are expected at cargo warehouses at Los Angeles International Airport today, reports Freightwaves. The California local of the Service Employees International Union is organising a demonstration and meeting near the Mercury Air Cargo facility that serves All Nippon Airways, DB Schenker, Emirates SkyCargo, LATAM Airlines Cargo, IAG Cargo, Finnair and MasAir, among others. Trucks could be prevented from leaving or entering. The protest was scheduled to begin at 10am and continue for three hours. Companies are advising customers to expect delays and develop alternate routes for reaching cargo facilities.
