Bloomberg has published a simple article on the soon-to-be-launched Indian Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is expected to reduce corruption and costs, and speed up domestic transit times significantly. Yes, it is likely to be pretty chaotic to begin with, with employees at smaller transport companies in particular concerned that they are not up-to-speed with the changes. And the regulations are still being defined. Nevertheless, it’s a key change, which will effectively create a common market, bring down logistics costs and make India’s marketplace far more efficient.
