There is likely to be a lot of news and noise about planes this week, as the Paris Air Show kicks off. We are opting today for a read about Antonov’s new freighter, the 178. It will be interesting to see how this fares in the market among those airlines that do like an Antonov. This one has an 18-ton payload, accessed by a rear loading ramp. And it can operate from any runway. The manufacturer is predicting some 1,100 sales in the next 20 years.
