A picture is worth a thousand words – this is why we need to control emissions. Sixty years ago today, London experienced its worst ever smog. One of the Loadstar team’s parents described being a small girl during the “Pea-Soupers” and walking to school with hands sliding along street walls as “the only way we had any idea where we were”. Thousands died when London’s famous fog mixed with smoke belching out of vehicles crawling through the city and homes trying to keep warm in a bitter winter.

    Today, FOX News would have a panel of smog-deniers, no doubt.
