Deutsche Post lost nearly a third of its market share after Amazon moved into Munich – and there’s no reason to think this won’t happen elsewhere (despite Amazon’s rather weakly voiced claim that it still needs logistics partners). Interestingly, Credit Suisse analysts estimate that Amazon accounts for about 30% of DHL’s parcel volumes, and up to a quarter of its revenue.
