Freighter pilots have taken an argument against the FAA to court, challenging its decision to exclude all-cargo operators from the new Flightcrew Member Duty and Rest Requirements. The Independent Pilots Association, representing UPS pilots, has been trying to get its day in court for four years, it said. It claims that the FAA’s decision to exclude freighters violates the Safety Act. The case could have significant repercussions for all-cargo airlines.
