March 04, 2015 at 6:05 amIn 2014, MSK and MSC signed a VSA to strengthen their ocean network, which is showing a significant sign that carriers are selecting their own partner to promote their market share.
If carriers could do a partner group, why not NVOs?
1. Integrate superior trade lane and sources;
2. Integrate same client handling procedure and share some local/destination sources to save cost for each NVO;
3. Negotiate a group rate with carrier (of course, refer to Mr Gernandt’s speech) to get a best long-term rate;
4. Maybe for space handling and rate control, could refer to 2Ms;
5. Increase the bargaining chip with carriers.
