India’s Economic Times has published a fairly damning article about Mumbai Airport’s cargo terminal, claiming that congestion and poor processes are significantly slowing down cargo flows. While the situation was not helped by a five-day shutdown of the Customs system at the start of this month – and some eight other Customs IT system failures as the month progressed – stakeholders are claiming that mismanagement and unfair practices are also to blame for the “shambles” at the airport.
