Alianza Logistics, the Spanish specialist in transport and integrated logistics solutions, has taken a decisive step forward in its international growth strategy with the launch of a new operational office in the United Kingdom.

Based in Ipswich, the new branch positions the company directly within the UK market, enabling it to deliver its full portfolio of logistics services from British soil.

With more than 15 years of experience in international logistics, Alianza Logistics is directed by its founder and executive chairman, Juan Miguel Dasca, and CEO Vicente Aguilar. Over the years, the company has built a solid reputation across Europe, supported by a strong network of customers and strategic partners, while continuing to expand its footprint in the Americas and Asia.

The UK expansion is being headed by Doug French, UK branch director, who will lead and oversee the development of operations in the British market. Doug brings extensive industry knowledge and local market expertise. He will play a pivotal role in shaping the branch’s strategic direction, building partnerships and consolidating Alianza Logistics’ presence in the UK.

Doug is supported by Alexandru Ochean, head of commercial UK–EU Cross-Border & Intra-EU Freight, who will focus on strengthening commercial flows between the UK and continental Europe.

The UK team is already operational and currently composed of Doug, Alexandru and additional team members supporting the project. At the same time, the company is actively recruiting logistics professionals in the UK to expand the local structure and further reinforce its operational and commercial capabilities.

This move responds to evolving trade requirements in the post-Brexit environment, enabling more agile, efficient and locally adapted logistics solutions for customers trading between the UK and Europe.

Strengthening UK–Europe Trade Links

From its UK base, Alianza Logistics aims to enhance freight connectivity between the UK and continental Europe. The new office is designed to streamline transit times, optimise operating costs and simplify customs procedures for international shipments.

The company will provide:

  • Regular international road transport services across Europe
  • Full customs brokerage and compliance management
  • Sea and air freight solutions
  • Warehousing and storage services
  • Last-mile distribution through its established logistics network

By integrating these services under a coordinated operational structure, Alianza Logistics continues advancing toward its transformation into a 4PL operator, orchestrating end-to-end supply chain solutions.

Sustainability at the Core of Operations

Environmental responsibility remains a key pillar of Alianza Logistics’ business model. The company operates a modern fleet designed to minimise emissions and continues investing in optimised logistics processes that reduce environmental impact. Operational efficiency and sustainability go hand in hand, aligning with long-term corporate responsibility objectives.

UK-Based Team, International Capability

The establishment of a permanent team in the UK represents more than geographic expansion – it reflects a long-term strategic commitment to the market. The branch will provide bilingual customer service in English and Spanish, ensuring close communication, tailored consultancy and sector-specific logistics expertise.

By combining strong on-the-ground leadership under Doug French’s direction with Alianza Logistics’ established European and global network, the company reinforces collaboration with local partners and logistics providers.

This expansion underlines Alianza Logistics’ commitment to facilitating smoother trade flows and strengthening commercial ties between Spain, the United Kingdom and international markets – continuing its evolution as a more integrated, global and strategically coordinated logistics partner.
