Eurotunnel is in the news yet again. While it seeks to overturn a UK Competition Commission judgment against it owning former SeaFrance ferries, it has also come under fire from the European Commission for track access charges to other rail providers that are said to be “excessive”. Freight interests complain that as much as 43% of its capacity remains unused as a result.
