AP Møller-Maersk has named ex-Amazon executive Rotem Hershko (pictured above) as its new senior vice president and head of business platforms in its Ocean & Logistics division.
“Rotem brings great experience and insights within technology and e-commerce from his background as director of product management & software development at Amazon,” says an memo to staff seen by The Loadstar.
Mr Herskhko spent seven years with Amazon in a variety of posts, firstly as senior product manager of strategy and operations in the Fulfilment by Amazon division. This was followed by three years as general manager of Amazon Launchpad in non-US markets, which was then followed by three more years heading up product management and software development.
“Rotem and his team will work across the Maersk portfolio of business platforms to make sure our customers experience seamless, integrated offerings when doing business with us,” says the memo.
