When I wrote that Damco was “the beating heart” of AP Møller Mærsk Group (APMM) in mid-2016 I had no idea that the corporate plan was to rip it up and leave what was left of its freight forwarding arm in a state of induced coma, before, presumably – as most of my sources suggest – selling those remains to a trade buyer.
