The BBC’s coverage of yesterday’s arrival of the MSC Oscar at the UK port of Felixstowe. Even the mainstream press have now latched onto the fact that the previous holder of “world’s largest ship” title, the CSCL Globe, only held it for 53 days, while the MSC Oscar’s days are numbered since the MOL announcement that it has ordered a 20,000teu vessel. Anyway, this piece features interviews with the captain, crew and MSC’s UK chief executive Danny Everitt; lots of fun factoids about the size of the vessel and some fantastic pics.
