The port of Antwerp has been hit by a major fire. According to World Maritime News, the blaze erupted in a 5,000-tonne shipment of nickel oxide in one of the port’s warehouses. This led to vessels having to be moved off berths. While the blaze is reportedly under control, it has not been extinguished and is expected to keep burning for the next week.
