Another day, another disruptor. Flexe is the Airbnb of warehousing. In fewer than five years, it has created a marketplace of storage availability in 550 warehouses, offering 25m sq ft, and expects to add 10m more this year. You simply book space through its website. It is now launching an overnight delivery service, in an attempt to match Amazon, and allows retailers their own branded boxes. It’s a great idea that appears to work well for most of the year – the challenge comes where warehouse space is scarce, in the pre-Christmas peak. Bloomberg reports.
