Massimo Roccasecca has joined Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) from SDA Express, as cargo development director.
Mr Roccasecca has 27 years’ experience in the logistics sector, focused mostly on airfreight for the past 16 years, with positions at Alitalia, Skyteam and Damco.
Prior to joining SDA, an Italian postal and express company, Mr Roccasecca spent time in the Middle East working for Maximus Air Cargo. His working life has also seen him spend time in his native Italy with TNT and UPS, as well as being posted to New Jersey with the latter.
Owned by the government of the Sultanate of Oman, OAMC is responsible for the management and operation of Muscat International and Salalah Airports and for the future new airports of Ad Duqm, Sohar and Ras Al Hadd.
Undergoing further development, the new Muscat International Airport Cargo Terminal, which will be fully automated facility, has an annual capacity of 320,000 tons, with provision for additional expansion.
