In this blog, triggered by the forthcoming Carbon Tax in Australia, self-proclaimed “progressive transport executive” Dave Coleman suggests that shippers and transport providers collaborate over how the cost is divided. He points out that both sides need to look at their margins and ability to pay, and work out a fair way to share the carbon risks. He calls for leadership and innovative partnering. “Transporters can’t do it alone”, he warns.
