A government initiative is pushing vehicle sharing in the logistics sector. Logistics Manager reports the 30-month FreightShareLab scheme is aiming to demonstrate that empty running and under-utilisation of vehicles can be reduced by strategic data and asset sharing between carriers. Furthermore, the report claims there has been industry backing for vehicle sharing for more than quarter of a century.
