Palletways has announced the introduction of new line haul services to enhance its network across Europe and to meet growing demand for its logistics offerings across the continent.

Palletways Europe Group, which handled one pallet every second in 2013, is now operating its London Hub as an International Gateway to handle the volume of pallets entering the network on both sides of the Channel. This is teamed with the introduction of daily roundtrips between London and Nijmegen, London and Paris, and Paris and Madrid.

The new line haul services will significantly enhance the efficiency of transit times between key European locations, and are expected to save 24 hours in transit to Palletways’ European locations.

Managing Director of Palletways Europe, Rachael Alpha, said: “The last 12 months has been  fantastic year for Palletways across the continent, but we never stop looking to improve our service. The introduction of the new line hauls will greatly improve efficiency, which is key as we look to expand our network across Europe and meet the high expectations of our customers”.

As part of its expansion plans, Palletways has also made improvements in its international daily collection and delivery services to and from Denmark, cutting transit times by up to 48 hours in many areas.

Palletways is Europe’s largest and fastest growing palletised freight network, with over 300 depots and 12 hub operations, through which it provides collection and distribution services across 13 European countries.

The company’s distribution networks are made up of independent transport companies who share each other’s resources to deliver small consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before.
