The exceptional winter conditions experienced by large parts of the North America have once again highlighted the fragility of modern supply chains to many – as if any reminders were needed. In this short but well-argued blog, supply chain veteran Lora Cecere advocates shippers doing everything they can to increase the visibility of their supply chains to give them the chance of being able to respond to the varying “cadences”, which is a great word to get across the idea that supply chains are flexible, organic, almost living things, rather than rigid frameworks.
