The third annual BFS cargo awards took place last week, with a selection of names honored for their contribution to the cargo industry in aid of the Foundation for Slum Child Care. The awards, held by Bangkok Flight Services, raised a total of Bt4.5m ($150,000) from ticket sales, auctions and prizes. The ground for the day care centre is already being cleared (see above).
The Cargo Hall of Fame awards this year saw Chris Notter of Qatar Airways and Khun Yuttana Yimgarund of the Thai Customs Department revered for their contributions.
