The head of the American Trucking Association estimates that the driver shortage in the US now amounts to a staggering 35,000 truckers, and predicted it would rise to 200,000 by 2020 unless action is taken. ATA president Bill Graves said the problem had plumbed new depths and called on Washington to reform immigration policies to help fill the positions.
