The world’s largest shipping line association and the UK-based organisation that represents carriers’ customers have completed two years of negotiations to produce SERVICECON, a template which smaller shippers can use to draw up container volume commitment contracts with carriers, “although GSF believes that it will be useful for many larger shippers too, especially those with cargo shipments outside of the scope of the individualised contracts”.
