Amazon is negotiating with Brazilian carrier Azul to ship goods directly into the country, according to Reuters. The carrier, which announced last week that it has leased two freighters, has a big network in Brazil, where online sales have doubled in four years – despite infrastructure challenges with last-mile delivery. Currently, Amazon relies on vendors to ship their own goods. Azul would be a good step for the etailer, which has been looking to lease a 50,000sq metre warehouse outside Sao Paulo.
