Following on from this week’s story in our sister publication, The Coolstar, about how Ethiopian growers are suffering from a lack of shipping options, comes the news that this fertile country is to build more rail links. Allowing it to connect manufacturers with ports, the railway looks set to be funded by foreign investment, from Brazil, India or Russia. Ethiopian Railways plans to lay more than 2,000km of rail before mid-2015, writes Bloomberg.
