After seeing its name in the wrong headlines this week, the world’s second-largest shipping line, MSC, has moved to defend its carbon emission record, reports Splash247 today. Earlier this week, environmental lobby group Transport & Environment claimed MSC was Europe’s eighth-worst emitter of greenhouse gases. In response, the company claimed its new class of ULCVs were the most fuel-efficient of the type and that criticisms of its fleet’s environmental impact were based on incomplete data.
