Following our report at the end of last week that the go-slow at India’s Jawaharlal Nehru Port container facilities had come to an end, shippers and forwarders trying to get export containers loaded onto outbound vessels still face considerable delays as the roads surrounding the port continue suffer horrendous congestion.
Below is a series of photographs sent to The Loadstar from local sources. While the terminals have re-opened for business; the clearing of the backlog is hampered by congestion within the yards, as well as a series of road repairs outside the state-operated Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust terminal.
