A nice article on Hactl, Hong Kong’s air cargo terminal and handler, which suffered the indignity of losing its biggest customer, Cathay Pacific. Hactl is still the largest handler at the busiest freight airport, but its top spot is becoming vulnerable as Shanghai continues to grow. Concerns for the handler include costs rising as Hong Kong builds its third runway. But it also notes opportunities with the growth of the global e-commerce sector – an area Hong Kong forwarder Kerry Logistics is also eyeing.
