A senior aircraft lessor has expressed concern that the two aircraft manufacturers have a weakness in their supply chains which could impact production. Both have increased the output of their narrowbody lines, but leasing king Steven Udvar-Hazy warned: “As you go down the supply chain, can the hundreds of suppliers, small suppliers, keep up with 100 single-aisle aircraft a month? That’s a big concern of ours, because a little guy can slip up and then it holds up everything.” He also called for the gap between narrowbody and widebody aircraft to be bridged.
