The recycled plastics market was one of the trades badly affected during Spring’s Europe-Asia eastbound container capacity crunch. But while the major lines have resumed taking bookings from northern Europe to Asia, recyclers continue to suffer – a trebling of rates has badly affected prices, and the growth of China’s own recycling infrastructure means that it is having to import less.
