The sublime Malcolm Gladwell, bestselling author of The Tipping Point and Outliers, on the dazzling economist Albert Hirschman. It’s not strictly about freight – although as an analyst of large infrastructure projects and developmental economics, Professor Hirschman (pictured) had a greater impact on the world of logistics than many industry executives – but presents a wonderful set of arguments on the role of doubt in planning projects.
