It’s finally over. Although it’s not quite what Hong Kong’s dockworkers had asked for, Hongkong International Terminals has offered  a 9.8% pay rise, which has been accepted. Workers should return by Thursday, as the task of restoring operations and rebuilding the port’s reputation begins. The cost to Hutchison of the strike is estimated at some $13m, according to Citigroup.
