An interesting blog by supply chain supremo Kevin O’Marah, in which he compares views of Apple and Amazon, the former of which came first in Gartner’s Supply Chain Top 25 for the sixth year running, while the latter is preferred by the SCM World community. The point, however, is that the ranking was designed to raise awareness of supply chain management – and it has done so in many industries – with the exception, says Mr O’Marah, of the pharmaceuticals sector.
