Waco System, the global independent freight network, has welcomed Shinji Kitamura to its board of directors.
Mr Kitamura is currently managing director of Nishi Nippon Railroad (NNR) Global Logistics, and has had a 30-year career in the logistics and transport industry. He joined NNR Global Logistics in 1981, and has held numerous roles in the firm around the world, including stints in Tokyo, New York, Chicago and London, before being appointed to his present post in June 2014.
“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Shinji to our leadership team,” said Richard Charles, WACO executive director.
“His wealth of experience and expertise will be immensely valuable as we continue to expand our global footprint and look to recruit new members,” he continued.
“I look forward to working even more closely with my fellow members and through this role championing new business opportunities for our network of independent freight forwarders,” said Mr Kitamura.
NNR Global Logistics has been a member of The WACO System since 1982.
