New Zealand considers nationalising its ports

New Zealand ports are struggling to sustain themselves as shipping lines shop around. The news that Maersk and Hambug Sud are to leave Timaru’s port has forced the country to focus on the need for a national port strategy, perhaps taking ports under public ownership.
