Donald Trump has frozen US plans to limit the carriage of lithium-ion batteries in passenger aircraft. He wants to limit regulations which hold back business, despite concerns over safety. ICAO however continues to support a ban. IATA and others believe the trouble is limited to counterfeit batteries and those which are illegally packaged, and would prefer governments instead to focus on stopping counterfeits. But according to AP, Canadian authorities found that shippers the world over were breaking rules on packaging. The debate continues…
