Maersk has forbidden the use of stern-thrusters on its E-class ships following a flooded engine room on Emma Maersk as it passed through the Suez Canal at the weekend. The containership will be out of action for months, says the company. The cargo on the 15,500teu ship will be redistributed, with preference given to reefer containers.
