The U.S. government has shutdown for the first time since 1996. Negotiations are underway but at this time we do not know when the government will resume to full operational capacity.

The National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America, Inc. (NCBFAA) was informed by U.S. Customs Border and Protection (CBP) that the ports are open for business. Front line and Agriculture officers are essential personnel and are at full capacity. The hours of service at all ports will be normal operating hours including overtime.  Impacted areas may be post release functions and the absence of support and technical personnel.
