This interesting interview with Peter Friedmann, executive director, Agriculture Transportation Coalition, examines the affect of the drought in the US, the economy in Europe and free trade agreements. He also calls for shipping lines to plan ahead better and listen to non-maritime economists, not just those “being paid by the carriers”. Good reading for the perspective of a US shipper.
