The latest Global Port Tracker report makes uncomfortable reading for those in Europe’s ports business. Based on figures from six major container ports, it does show growth – of 2.3% for imports and 4.7% on exports – but shipping lines are reported to be cancelling or postponing peak season surcharges, suggesting a weak third quarter.
